Woods takes first of three i6s
The 13.2-metre, 53-seat touring coach joins five other Irizars and General Manager Bill Tanser is delighted that Woods’ parent company, Stewarts Group, has continued to turn to Irizar for new vehicles.
“It’s certainly got that kerbside appeal,” said Bill. “The styling gives a certain perception to waiting passengers. This, just like the rest of the Irizars we run, has been very solid so far.”
The new tri-axle coach comes with USB sockets on the PB seatbacks, allowing passengers to charge mobile devices. It has ‘aircraft’ style overhead lockers, a two-monitor DVD system and centre sunken toilet. The coach is powered by a DAF MX340 engine with ZF’s AS-Tronic gearbox.
“The i6 just works for us,” added Bill. “With a mixed operation of tours, private and contract hire and airport work you need a fleet suitable for any job.”
