New i6 is versatile, says Centurion

A new Irizar i6 Integral is helping Centurion Travel towards growing its Euro 6 fleet.

The Radstock-based operator was handed the keys to its new 53-seat executive coach in summer and, as Director Steve Spiller explains, it’s barely stood still since.142412-Centurion-(7)

“We’re trying to find time to take it into Bath for photography along with the larger i6 we bought from Irizar last year, but we’ve not had a chance to apply the sign writing yet, let alone get the camera on to it,” he says.

The new addition fills a gap in the fleet, offering a modern coach for groups not wanting a full 61-seater, where previously the only option would be to opt for an older vehicle.

Steve adds: “It’s a nice back up to the flagship 14-plate i6. It’s early days of course, but has slotted in nicely and is performing to our expectations.”

Footrests, seat-back tables and a twin monitor DVD system came factory-fitted and Centurion also opted for the installation of USB sockets throughout, allowing customers to charge mobile devices on the move.

The coach has DAF’s award-winning MX11 271 engine and a ZF Ecolife fully automatic gearbox.
