Family-run operator, Ridleys Coaches of Warwickshire has taken delivery of nine Irizar coaches supplied by Irizar UK. Comprising two i8 Integral and seven i6S Efficient integral coaches.
The final vehicle is a 14-metre, i6S Efficient super high deck coach finished in a bright metallic silver with a simple yet stylish livery.
The coach, destined to be used on the company’s private hire work, can accommodate up to 61 passengers seated on the comfortable i6 Plus seat with a mix of fabric and i-leather leather and equipped with double USB sockets, seat back tables, magazine nets, and multi-position footrests.
The vehicle features a centre sunken toilet with electric hand-dyer, wooden effect flooring, and the Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system with 2 monitors.
A built-in vacuum cleaner will help to maintain the coach in immaculate condition on tour, while the leather steering wheel provides a touch of luxury for the driver.
The new tri-axle features DAF’s powerful 11-litre coach engine, the MX-11 330, with an output of 449hp and drives through ZF’s Traxon 12-speed automated gearbox.
The i6S Efficient joins eight other new coaches that have entered service throughout the spring, specified to Leger Shearings specifications. The two i8s are destined for the top-of-the-range Luxuria tour programme, one of the i6S Efficient on the deluxe Silver Service holiday programme, with the remaining five i6S Efficient livered for use on Shearings tours.
