Need for high capacity drives i4 purchase
Boulton’s of Shropshire has bought its first i4 Integral to service its large volume of high-capacity coach work.
The family-run business based near Cardington has three 70-seaters in its fleet due to regular hire from school groups and with short-run transfers, and says it’s pleased it opted for the Spanish-built i4 this time.
“We liked the look of the vehicle when we saw it at last year’s NEC coach show,” said Director Dan Boulton. “After looking around, it appeared, by quite a margin, a lot nicer than other options. So far, we have been pleased with it. Drivers like it and it’s been performing very well.”
Boulton’s runs around 20 vehicles, including two vintage coaches. It was founded in 1926 by Dan’s great-grandfather, and the business is still run by the family, with Mick, Dan’s dad, and Dan’s wife Rachael also at the helm.
