Two new mirrorless luxury coaches have joined the fleet at Ellisons Travel. This takes the St Helens-based operator to 20 Irizar i8 Integral coaches since its launch in 2016. Ellisons in total have purchased over 40 Irizar Integrals during this timeframe.
The 55-passenger seats are trimmed fully in leather with extra padded wings to provide comfort and feature a lateral displacement system to create additional space between the seats. 3 point seat belts are fitted for passenger safety.
Other passenger comforts include magazine holders, seat-back tables and footrests, while entertainment is provided by a Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system and two monitors in the front and centre of the vehicles.
Crews are catered for by leather upholstered driver and guide seats to match the saloon, and a leather-trimmed steering-wheel adding a touch of class for the driver.
The coaches are painted into metallic blue and cant-rail lighting along with black-tinted windows boost its already impressive external appearance. These refinements to the exterior of the vehicle make the coaches instantly recognizable as part of the Ellisons fleet.
Driveline is the top-of-the-range DAF MX-13 390 530 hp engine driving through the latest ZF Traxon automated manual gearbox.
With the recent Irizar i8 Integrals, Ellisons Travel has opted for the digital camera vision system in lieu of traditional mirrors, taking the luxury coach company to six of the mirrors luxury coaches on its fleet.
Ellisons Travel was founded in the 1920’s and today prides itself on being the operator of choice for over 50% of the teams in Premiership football. A legacy that began in the 1960’s when Ellisons became the official team vehicle Liverpool Football Club. Brothers Andy and Mike have retained the client throughout the years.
