Irizar UK Ltd is proud to announce the successful delivery of a significant number of Irizar Integral coaches to long-standing customer Prospect Coaches (West) Ltd of Stourbridge, West Midlands over the last 12 months.
Spanning multiple vehicle types and operational roles, this substantial number of vehicles represents one of the most important fleet investments in Prospect Coaches’ history and further strengthens the close partnership between the two companies.
The delivery encompasses high-capacity school and private hire vehicles, premium specialist transport, and a growing fleet of express coaches operating within the FlixBus network. Together, these vehicles underline Prospect Coaches’ ambitious growth strategy and Irizar UK’s continued commitment to supplying innovative, efficient and customer-focused transport solutions to leading UK operators.
Speaking on the latest deliveries, Stuart Smithson, Area Sales Manager for Irizar UK said, “Prospect Coaches is a valued long-term partner for Irizar UK, and this multi-vehicle handover is a powerful demonstration of the trust they place in our products. From high-capacity PSVAR-compliant vehicles through to bespoke flagship coaches, this order reflects the breadth of the Irizar Integral range and our ability to support operators at every level of their business.”
High-Capacity Solutions for Local and Regional Operations
Among the deliveries is an Irizar Integral i4 high-capacity coach, specified to meet the demanding requirements of school transport and large group travel. The 12.9-metre vehicle is powered by a DAF MX11 270kW engine producing 367bhp and is paired with a ZF Ecolife Coachline transmission, delivering both efficiency and reliability in daily operation.
Designed with accessibility at its core, the Integral i4 features a centre-door PSVAR lift, Hanover electronic destination displays to the front, side and rear, and 70 high-capacity PPS seats arranged in a 3+2 configuration. Additional features include the Bosch Smart Series audio system, a reverse camera, and comprehensive safety equipment, ensuring the vehicle meets modern operational and compliance standards.
This addition supports Prospect Coaches’ continued expansion across the West Midlands, where the operator has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality school transport.
A Flagship Integral i8 for Elite Sports Transport
At the premium end of the delivery programme, Irizar UK has also supplied a bespoke 14-metre tri-axle Irizar Integral i8, commissioned by Prospect Coaches as a flagship vehicle for specialist sports travel. Built to exacting standards, the coach serves as the official team vehicle for West Bromwich Albion FC.
Powered by a DAF MX13 390kW (530bhp) engine with a ZF TraXon transmission, the Integral i8 is finished in metallic grey with bespoke vinyl detailing. Inside, the coach blends luxury with performance, featuring 34 seats trimmed in Ultra Fabric with three-point seatbelts and centre armrests, alongside wooden-effect flooring, full carpeting and black tinted windows.
Specialist conversion work carried out by AD Coach Systems has transformed the vehicle into a fully equipped mobile base for players and staff, including multiple tables and televisions, ambient lighting, enhanced audio, refrigeration units, catering equipment, charging facilities and onboard comfort systems. Advanced driver technology includes a full HMI touchscreen interface with satellite navigation, a leather multi-function steering wheel and a digital camera mirror system.
The vehicle holds particular significance for Prospect Coaches, having been named in memory of the company’s late Managing Director, Ros Hadley. Her vision and leadership played a pivotal role in the company’s success, and the coach stands as a lasting tribute to her contribution to the business.
Reflecting on the handover, Stuart Smithson added, “This Integral i8 is a remarkable vehicle and a fitting tribute to Ros. It showcases what can be achieved when manufacturer, operator and conversion specialist work closely together to create something truly exceptional.”
