Leather driver and courier seats have been chosen for additional comfort and durability, the coach has a vacuum cleaner system installed to enable the highest standards of cleanliness to be maintained when on duty.
Entertainment is provided by the Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system and Actia DVD player supplied with 2 monitors.
The new coach is powered by a DAF MX11 270kw, OBD-E euro 6 engine, with an output of 367hp, with ZF’s Ecolife Coachline enhancing the driveline.
Golden Boy specified PSVAR preparation only. With future-proofing in place, the residual value of the new coach will be protected.
The striking appearance of the i6s Efficient is further enhanced by dark-tint windows, Golden Boys signature livery, and exterior LED lighting.
The i6S Efficient sees a reduction of 900kgs, achieved mainly through a transition to using high-strength steel and modern composites, an optimized layout rebalances the vehicle and also helps achieve greater internal space.
Aerodynamic coefficient has seen a reduction of 30% and combined with the weight saving and other adjustments results in a 13% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
These benefits come soon after those made in 2018, where improvements in the DAF/ZF driveline, the overall reduction in weight, and the power-on-demand electrification of key componentry resulted in up to 6% improvement in fuel consumption. Operating costs were also reduced through lower R&M processes, including increases in the oil and coolant change intervals and DPF cleaning intervals.
