Hoddesdon-based operator Golden Boy Coaches has recently taken delivery two new Irizar Integral coaches a 13.2m tri-axle, super-high i6S Efficient and a 12.9m 70 high capacity, i4.
The i6S Efficient features a smoothly efficient DAF MX11 330kw, OBD-E euro 6 engine, with an output of 449hp, coupled to, ZF’s Ecolife Coachline 6-speed fully automatic gearbox.
Passenger conveniences include multi-position footrests, seat-back tables, magazine holders, and USB charging points throughout the vehicle. The 53 guests also benefit from a comfortable amount of legroom throughout the saloon.
The interior of the vehicle features seats trimmed in full leather for passengers and crew alike for luxury and durability, and armrests and the steering wheel embellished in leather for an extra touch of class.
An onboard washroom fitted with an electric hand dryer is located in the centre stairwell of the vehicle with a drinks machine located over the toilet top to provide passenger refreshments.
Passenger entertainment is supplied through the Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system teamed with an Actia DVD player and two monitors located in the front and centre of the vehicle.
Whilst the high-capacity i4 features an economical MX11-270kw (367bhp) engine and ZF Ecolife Coachline transmission.Master Hugh, can seat up to 70 passengers in a 3 plus 2 configurations.
The striking appearance of the new Irizar coaches is further enhanced by Golden Boys signature livery, and exterior LED lighting.
Golden Boy specified PSVAR preparation only with both vehicles. With future-proofing in place, the residual value of the new coaches will be protected.
The new additions take Golden Boy Coaches to over 20 Irizar Integrals delivered since 2014.
