Ace Travel (Scotland), based in Airdrie has recently taken delivery of an Irizar Integral i6S Efficient coach, the third of its kind to join the company’s fleet this year.
At 12.9m, the Efficient coach features 57 passenger seats with 3-point seat belts fitted for passenger safety. USB charging points are fitted to each pair of seats to allow passengers to charge their devices whilst on the move.
A Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system with a front monitor has been specified to provide onboard entertainment.
For passenger convenience, an onboard toilet has been provided, located in the central stairwell of the vehicle, and an onboard vacuum system will help to keep the coach in pristine condition.
The Integral i6s features an efficient DAF MX-11 300 408 hp engine, driving through the sophisticated ZF Traxon automated manual gearbox, further enhancing the fuel consumption.
Ace Travel (Scotland) requested that the vehicle be built to full PSVAR standards, including a Masats semi-automatic wheelchair lift located in the luggage compartment and Hanover destination equipment to the front, side, and rear of the vehicle.
As the new coaches will be used on the company’s Megabus contract, Ace Travel has specified that a clear partition screen to be fitted behind the driver area.
