Fourth Doigs Irizar Integral is an i4
Doigs of Glasgow has a new i4 Integral coach from Irizar UK, having already taken three of the Worksop dealership’s i6 touring coaches.
The latest fleet addition, explained Director Iain Forsyth, was chosen for its seating capacity, which is ideal for cruise transfers and other work where luggage capacity is not an issue. The 12.9-metre, 59-seat coach is proving itself ideal, he said.
“Because it doesn’t have a toilet, the legroom is about the same as on our i6 touring coaches,” said Iain. “The good news is also that it retains the i6’s good looks but is very cost-effective; we are already seeing great fuel economy.”
Doigs runs one of the youngest fleets in the UK, with an average fleet age of under a year. The 20-vehicle operation has a broad range of work, including private and corporate hire in southern Scotland.
The i4 was specified with CCTV, leather headrests and an Alcolock drink-drive device – in common with all coaches in the Doigs fleet.
