A new luxury coach has arrived with family-run operator Phil Haines Coaches in the form of a 13.2m Irizar Integral i6S Efficient.
The tri-axle spaciously holds 53 passengers on i6+ reclining seats providing them with seat-back tables, magazine nets and multi-position footrests. USB charging points are fitted to each pair of seats and 3-point seat belts are provided for passenger safety.
Onboard entertainment is provided by the Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system and monitors fitted to the front and centre of the saloon. In the central stairwell a WC is located, fitted with an electric hand-dryer and a drinks machine has been provided for passenger convenience.
The coach is propelled by DAFs smoothly efficient MX11 330kw, OBD-E euro 6 engine, with an output of 443hp, coupled to, and further enhancing the quality of the ride, ZF’s Ecolife Coachline 6 speed fully automatic gearbox.
Additional features of the new vehicle include a road facing camera and a multi-function leather steering wheel. The vehicle has also been specified with future proofing in mind and has been prepared for PSVAR in second life, with destination signage fitted to the front, side and rear of the vehicle.
Externally, the coach has been supplied with metallic paint and a stylish new livery scheme, designed by the team at the Irizar factory, in Ormaiztegi. Further adding the kerb-appeal of the luxury coach is dark-tinted privacy glazing and LED exterior lighting.
Based in Boston, Lincolnshire, Phil Haines Coaches has been established since 1959 and specilises in providing day trips and coach holidays. “Sir Phil” as the new coach has been named, is named for the company’s founder.
