Porth-based operator Thomas of Rhondda has recently taken delivery of a new Irizar Integral i6S luxury touring coach.
The 14 metre, Integral i6S features a powerful DAF MX-13 355 483 hp engine, driving through the sophisticated ZF Traxon automated manual gearbox.
Each of the 57 passenger seats is fitted with magazine nets, multi-position footrests, and seat-back tables. Other onboard amenities include USB charging points through the coach, a washroom located in the central stairwell, and an onboard drinks machine.
Leather driver and courier seats have been chosen for additional comfort and durability.
Onboard entertainment is provided via the Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system with a front monitor and two tilt-down monitors in the aisle.
The vehicle is compliant with PSVAR standards, featuring destination signage provided by Hanover Displays. The Masat semi-automatic wheelchair lift is located above the rear axle of the coach, therefore maximizing luggage space.
Thomas of Rhondda’s parent company Thomas Coaches was founded in 1967 by Walter Thomas. In 1996 Thomas of Rhondda was established by Walter’s wife Judith and son Ian. The company undertakes a variety of work including private hire, home-to-school transportation, and tour work.
