Johnson Coach & Bus invests in efficiency

Johnsons Coach and Bus of Henley-in-Arden has taken delivery of two, latest generation Irizar Integral i6S Efficient luxury coaches, powered by DAF.

At 14m long, the first new coach has 63 passenger seats. Each seat is equipped with USB connectivity, magazine nets, and seat back tables. Extra seating capacity was achieved by fitting a lower-positioned toilet cabinet enabling an extra pair of seats to be positioned over the top of it, with a compromise on seat spacing.

The tri-axle, super high single deck is fully PSVAR compliant and features a Masat KS8 Semi-automatic wheelchair lift above the rear axle and destination signage supplied by Hanover.

The coach is propelled by DAFs smoothly efficient MX11 330kw, OBD-E euro 6 engine, with an output of 449hp, coupled to, and further enhancing the quality of the ride, ZF’s Ecolife 6 speed fully automatic gearbox.

The second new coach to join the Johnsons fleet is 12.9m long. The new coach comes equipped with 53 passenger seats. Each seat is equipped with 3-point seat belts, seat back tables and USB connectivity.

The coach is powered by an efficient DAF MX11 300kw, OBD-E euro 6 engine, with an output of 408hp, coupled to, and maximising economy, ZF’s Traxon 12-speed automated gearbox.

The latter of the two vehicles is PSVAR preparation only and with this future proofing in place, the residual value will be protected.
