Irizar marks 130th anniversary with three fabulous Integrals.

Leading luxury coach manufacturer Irizar is celebrating 130 years of engineering and craftsmanship at Coach & Bus UK 2019.

Three examples of its diverse range will be on display on Stand F1 at the Show: ranging from a versatile 80-seater to a luxurious and wheelchair-accessible grand-tourer.

Irizar’s i8 Integral is arguably the most prestigious coach in today’s market: being used by some of the world’s most famous football clubs as first-team transport; and is the number one choice for British operators seeking the very best travelling experience for their clients.

Coach & Bus UK 2019 will see Irizar UK display a fabulous i8 Integral, destined for Ellisons Travel Services of St Helens, which brings luxury travel to all thanks to the installation of a Masats KS8 wheelchair lift over the rear axles.

Clever design allows the retention of a rear-mounted toilet, which is at floor level for greater accessibility.

The 14.07-metre i8 Integral tri-axle has 55 full-leather luxury seats, and is fitted with aircraft-style interior luggage lockers. Other passenger comforts include seat-back tables with magazine nets, footrests, three-point seatbelts, and underseat USB charging points.

A twin-monitor Actia DVD player is fitted, backed by a Bosch Professional-Line audio system.

Exterior appearance is enhanced by black-tinted windows, with spray-suppression on all wheels to aid safety and cleanliness.

The latest driveline from market-leaders DAF and ZF is installed. A powerful MX-13 390 530 hp Euro VI D engine is coupled to an advanced ZF Traxon automated gearbox, giving a smooth and efficient drive.

Irizar’s i4 Integral offers operators a versatile and efficient people-mover of double-deck capacity, but with a single-deck vehicle and coach comfort.

The 13.6-metre i4 Integral on display at Coach & Bus 2019, uses innovative 3+2 seating to carry up to 80 passengers in safety and comfort making it ideal for schools and other contract work where capacity is at a premium.

Safety features include three-point seat-belts, adaptive cruise-control, lane-departure warning system, and advanced emergency braking.

An Actia DVD player and Bosch Smart Series Audio take care of passenger entertainment, while the external appearance of the coach is enhanced with metallic paint and tinted windows.

The economical DAF MX-11 300 408 hp engine drives a versatile ZF EcoLife automatic transmission, which suits the i4 Integral to a wide range of tasks and can easily be mastered by any driver.

Irizar’s three-vehicle inside display is completed with a 12.9-metre i6S Integral. This coach combines many features from the flagship i8 model into Irizar’s best-selling i6 Integral design. The vehicle also includes further enhancements to style and comfort, including 53 i6+ seats trimmed in a mix of moquette and iLeather.

Passenger comforts include seat-back tables, under-seat USB charging points, and a wood-effect floor. There is a centre toilet, Bosch Smart Series Audio and twin-monitor Actia DVD.

Passive and active safety features include three-point seat-belts, active and predictive cruise control, lane-departure warning system, and advanced emergency braking.

Driveline combines the latest version of DAF’s highly-efficient MX-11 300 408 hp engine with ZF’s advanced Traxon automated gearbox.

The already impressive external appearance of the i6S is further enhanced with black windows, cant-rail lighting and metallic paint.

The model line-up is completed in the outside display area where the practical and stylish i6 Integral is on show.  The 12.9m example features 57 seats with WC, iLeather piping and headrests, three-point seat belts and the workhorse MX11 291 396 hp engine coupled to ZF’s straight forward Ecolife automatic transmission.

To ensure continuity of supply and price stability through Brexit, Irizar has assigned an allocation of special edition i6S Integral coaches to the UK, which will arrive prior to October 31.

Built to celebrate Irizar’s 130th anniversary, the 12.9 m coaches feature DAF’s advanced MX-11 300 408 bhp engine, and ZF EcoLife automatic transmissions. A choice of 53 or 57 seaters will be available, and luxury touches include USB points and leatherette panels to the seat sides.
