Along with our other quality Irizar vehicles, Irizar e-mobility is exhibiting on the stand the 12-metre long Irizar ie tram.

A state-of-the-art, 100% electric vehicle that has been acquired by Go Ahead, London’s largest bus operator to meet Transport for London’s latest Bus Safety Standards. The contract signed between the operator and Irizar e-mobility includes the supply of twenty buses and the corresponding charging infrastructure to electrify route 358 in south London, the first ultra-fast opportunity charging route in the capital.

The first unit, which is on premiere exhibit at the show, is the first right-hand-drive ie tram manufactured by Irizar e-mobility and the first to be launched by the company in the UK.

Its zero emissions, ease of access, low noise and vibration levels make it especially suitable for operation in a big city like London. In addition, these vehicles comply with the new Transport for London (TFL) 2024 pedestrian safety regulations.

The buses will be powered by state-of-the-art batteries manufactured by the Irizar Group and will be charged between trips using two fast charging inverted pantograph systems to be installed at Crystal Palace and Orpington Bus Stations, allowing the buses to be charged in less than five minutes and enabling them to perform the required service effortlessly. After finishing the route, the buses will receive a short top up using the depot based chargers.
