i4 for Farleigh is working well
The 12.9-metre, 59-seater from Irizar UK joins a mixed fleet of 16 vehicles on a variety of work including local private hire and schools. It’s been popular with the drivers and the passengers, says Farleigh’s Neil Crowhurst.
“It’s performed very well and the drivers have been impressed with it,” said Neil. Though it is mostly serving local communities in Kent, opportunities to take it on longer journeys have resulted in near-14mpg fuel economy, he says.
The dual-door i4, supplied by Worksop-based Irizar UK, is built to the same standard as its bigger sister i6, but with a lower general specification and 3.25-metre height to suit markets for which seating capacity is important. It can be supplied with a choice of DAF engines to Euro 6 and in DDA-compliant, wheelchair-accessible form.
