Bayliss Executive Travel of Dover has taken delivery of four Irizar Integral i6S Efficient coaches.
Managing Director, Alistair Bayliss quoted “I’m delighted with this new collaboration with Irizar and excited about what the future may hold – these new vehicles will hopefully be a great addition to the fleet and I can’t thank Sam and Julie enough for the work they along with everyone else at Irizar have put in to make the deal possible.”
The vehicles have been built with the future in mind and feature PSVAR preparation meaning that the vehicles can be converted to full PSVAR compliance during second-life use.
Driven by DAFs MX11 300kw, OBD-E euro 6 engine, with an output of 408hp, coupled to, ZF’s Traxon 12-speed semi-automatic gearbox.
Maximum efficiency is enhanced by conventional mirrors being replaced by the new digital vision camera system.
In October last year, the Irizar i6S Efficient was presented with the Sustainable Bus Award in the “coach“ category at an event held in Milan during the NME-Next Mobility Exhibition fair.
The jury, made up of several members of the specialised European press, highlighted Irizar’s capacity for redesigning the i6S model, “achieving greater operating efficiency, which is essential for a sector whose reactivation is being affected by the price burdens caused by the energy crisis.” A consumption reduction of 13%, a 30% improvement in the aerodynamic coefficient and a weight reduction of up to 950 kg makes the i6S Efficient a new generation sustainable vehicle designed for maximum efficiency.
