Ace Travel (Scotland), based in Airdrie has recently taken delivery of two Irizar integral i6s Efficient coaches, the first of the marque to join the fleet.
At 12.9m, the new coaches are furnished with 57 passenger seats, 3 Point seat belts are fitted for passenger safety. The vehicles also feature a toilet located in the central stairwell and USB charging points fitted to each pair of seats for passenger convenience.
The Integral i6s features an efficient DAF MX-11 300 408 hp engine, driving through the sophisticated ZF Traxon automated manual gearbox, further enhancing the fuel consumption.
Built-in vacuum cleaners will help to maintain the coaches in immaculate condition, while the Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system and front monitor will provide onboard entertainment.
Ace Travel (Scotland) requested that the vehicle be built to full PSVAR standards, including a Masats semi-automatic wheelchair lift located in the luggage compartment and Hanover destination equipment to the front, side, and rear of the vehicle.
As the new coaches will be used on the company’s Megabus contract, Ace Travel has specified clear partition screens to be fitted behind the driver area.
