Irizar UK is delighted to announce the handover of three new Irizar i6S Efficient coaches to Transport Made Simple subsidiary Simonds.
The three identical vehicles will primarily support the operator’s private hire and corporate transport offering, alongside a range of duties which will include holidays, day excursions and continental educational touring.
Built to a length of 12.9 metres, each coach is equipped with 53 passenger seats and powered by the highly efficient DAF MX11 engine producing 300kW (408bhp), coupled to a ZF Ecolife automatic transmission. The coaches have been finished at the Irizar factory in the company’s distinctive livery scheme.
Designed to deliver exceptional passenger comfort and operational versatility, the vehicles feature a toilet located in the central stairwell, seatback tables, USB charging sockets throughout the cabin, blue aisle lighting, wooden-effect flooring and a drinks machine mounted above the toilet compartment.
A front and centre monitor provides enhanced passenger entertainment.
An HMI touchscreen with integrated satellite navigation, a leather multifunction steering wheel and reversing sensors provide a modern and practical driving environment for the driver.
Accessibility has also been prioritised, with a wheelchair lift discreetly housed within the luggage compartment and Hanover destination signage, making the vehicle compliant with PSVAR specifications. The vehicles are also compliant with the new accessible information requirements, with Transport Made Simple a major provider of rail replacement bus services across East Anglia.
Additional features include an inverter system, LED exterior lighting, manual luggage lockers, a three-piece front bumper and three-point seat belts fitted throughout the passenger cabin.
