Long-standing Irizar customer Centurion Travel, received the best Irizar Integral award at this year’s UK Coach Rally with its new Irizar Integral tri-axle coach.
The 14m i6S Efficient, arrived with the Somerset-based operator just ahead of the event, featuring a special livery design to mark the 100 years of the Spiller family’s coaching heritage.
Passenger amenities include a centre toilet and a drinks boiler fitted next to the courier seat. The seating is equipped with multi-position footrests and seat-back tables. 3-point seat belts are fitted for safety of the 63 passengers aboard.
The Bosch Smart Series audio-visual system with front and centre monitors provides entertainment whilst aboard and USB charging points are installed to each pair of seats to allow travelers to charge their devices whilst on the move.
The vehicle is fully compliant with PSVAR standards, featuring destination signages fitted to the front, side, and rear of the vehicle and a Masats semi-automatic lift located above the rear axle of the vehicle, maximising luggage room.
Additional enhancements to the vehicle include aircraft-style lockers throughout the length of the saloon and an onboard invertor with 3 sockets. Externally the vehicle features spray-suppression and LED exterior lighting.
The i6S Efficient features a powerful DAF MX-13 330 443 hp engine, driving through the sophisticated ZF Ecolife coachline gearbox.
The Company, under the Directorship of Martin Spiller has been trading since 1989, but coaching has been in the family for four generations. Martin’s great great grandfather George Alford began operating charabancs in 1925.
