iService: DAF part numbers now accessible
Irizar’s acclaimed iService – giving on-line access to each coach’s ‘DNA’ – has been upgraded to include all DAF part numbers.
The iService ‘portal’ allows any Irizar operator to log in and check every last detail of a new vehicle from Irizar UK. The information, specific to each coach, is invaluable to track down parts required, see exactly which optional extras have been fitted, check wiring diagrams… even check paint codes and see vinyl cutting patterns. The system even shows pictures of the parts for a final check by fitters and engineers.
The system has already been hailed by operators as a huge boon to its engineering staff, and now iService will include DAF part numbers alongside Irizar’s part codes, to make ordering spares from Irizar UK’s parts department even easier.
DAF runs the largest truck network in the UK, and 1,000 service facilities across Europe together with more than 150 specialist coach service points, which ensures operators can access drive train parts from stock, with speedy delivery to minimise downtime.
“iService has been extremely popular with our customers, and we are keen to develop this on-line service further,” said Irizar UK Director Steve O’Neill. “Ensuring DAF part numbers are shown is of benefit to all Irizar Integral owners but, in particular, the many operators who have bought i6 and i4 coaches specifically for the quality of the DAF engine.”
iService is available to every buyer of a new Irizar Integral from Irizar UK, using secure password admission. One of its big advantages is that, when the coach is sold on, the manuals and information about each vehicle cannot be lost, so second users also have a quality parts service they can rely on.
